People of LOBA

Executive Committee

LOBA is a volunteer-driven organization. Its strength in leadership is an outcome of the collaborative work of a very talented, interested group of volunteer, fellow Lake of Bays residents who are committed to our mission, “to promote, maintain and enhance a well-serviced community and a safe, peaceful Lake of Bays”.

Executive and Board members are elected at the Annual Meeting to serve two-year terms. The Executive meets 9 times a year at lunch in Toronto to review and chart the course of LOBA activities through its diverse Committees.

Committee Chairs & Services

The work of the Association is diverse, requiring many different skill sets and is carried out by the various Committees and the individual Services listed here. The Board of Directors meets 6 times a year. Four of these meetings are held in Toronto and two are at the lake.

Area Stewards

Area Stewards serve as public relations representatives for the Lake of Bays Association. By visiting residents door to door during the peak summer months, Area Stewards provide the main communication link between LOBA and the population it serves.
