Council Approves ATV Access on All Roads, With Some Exceptions
Road exceptions to be considered only if request submitted by residents
Deadline for input is November 30th
On October 20th, Lake of Bays Council passed a resolution that “directs staff to present an ATV By-law that includes all township & district roads with exceptions, and that staff work with the Baysville ATV Club and the public input to identify those exceptions”.
As staff are still receiving requests for roads to be included and excluded from the ATV/ORV by-law, the draft report and by-law has been postponed to the December 15th, 2015 Council Meeting to ensure adequate time is provided to collect, research and conduct consultation on these requests.
Residents are invited to submit their requests for consideration to the Clerk at[email protected]. Please include your civic address/road name and state the reason you wish to have your road(s) excluded from the bylaw.
Requests received by November 30th, 2015 will be considered at the December Council Meeting.
It is our understanding at this time that submissions by a group of residents on a road will carry more weight.
