Voting for the 2022 Municipal Election will be by internet or telephone. This means, if you are a seasonal resident, you do not need to make a special trip to the cottage to vote. Internet and telephone voting will start on Monday October 17 at 10:00 a.m. and go through to Monday October 24 at 8:00 p.m. Prior to the voting period, you will receive a personalized Voters Information Letter by mail which will include your PIN and instructions for voting.

You and your spouse can both vote in each municipality in Ontario where you own or rent property. So you and your spouse can both vote where you live permanently AND vote in Muskoka. Renters and their spouses can also vote, provided you are tenants on election day (October 24).

To vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, 18+ years old, and registered to vote.
