Fairview Island proposal approved by Town of Huntsville Planning committee
On Wednesday February 14, the Town of Huntsville Planning committee approved the planning proposal for Fairvew Island, including a change in zoning to Institutional Camp (CS3) which is a commercial zoning. You can read the Town staff report here
Langmaid's Island proposal submitted to Township of Lake of Bays and District of Muskoka - now deemed complete
An application for the Plan of Subdivision containing 36 lots on the Langmaid's Island property was submitted to the District of Muskoka and Township of Lake of Bays on January 8 and is now deemed complete and available for public review on the Township website. Click here  to view the Notice of Application. The District and Township will now initiate peer reviews of the impact assessments.

While the island property is in the Township of Lake of Bays, the mainland access points are in the portion of South Portage Road that lies within the boundaries of Huntsville. An application for the two mainland access properties has been received by the Town of Huntsville and will be available for review once deemed complete. We will advise members when this application is available for public review.

The LOBA Planning committee, in conjunction with the Lake of Bays Heritage Foundation, is reviewing the Applications closely and will comment on the proposals as appropriate. We will keep members informed of Statutory public meetings and any other important dates.
