District of Muskoka Official Plan
The first of two  Statutory Public Meetings regarding the draft Muskoka Official Plan is scheduled for Tuesday August 29, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Rotary Centre in Bracebridge. The agenda for this meeting can be accessed here

How to preserve your appeal rights:
  1.  Request a notice of decision regarding the proposed Muskoka Official Plan through the District Clerk - Debbie Crowder and ensure that you include your name and mailing address. Most people choose to do this by email, but a letter is also fine.

  2. Provide written comments to the District of Muskoka (an email directed to Summer Valentine is fine) and/or speak at a public meeting on the proposed Muskoka Official Plan.
Both 1 and 2 must be received BEFORE a decision is made by the District of Muskoka.

Echo Lake Bridge Rehabilitation and Repairs
The District Municipality of Muskoka would like to advise residents that the Echo Lake Bridge, located on Muskoka Road 51 (Echo Lake Road) over the mouth of the Kawpakwakog River, 4.2km east of Muskoka Road 117, will be undergoing rehabilitation work beginning August 30, 2017. Echo Lake Bridge is a single lane bridge and therefore for construction purposes, a full road closure will be required during the month of September for a maximum of 12 days and a detour will be in effect. When full road closure dates are confirmed, the District will install signboards on the roadway and post information on their website.
