LOBA has become aware of a development application for Fairview Island that has been submitted to the Town of Huntsville. LOBA has received many communications of concern and requests for more information regarding this proposal (potential loss of tree canopy, docks, landside access particularly from Glenmount and Nithgrove Roads, septic, plane and helicopter access, noise and light).
At LOBA's request, the developer/purchaser has:
Requested and obtained a deferral of the hearing of the matter at the Huntsville Planning Committee to June 14; and
Prior to the June 14 meeting, agreed to hold an information session for LOBA members and the public where the developer and planner will present the project and entertain questions.
